catering professionals have thousands of events under their
belts. They are experienced, knowledgeable, and devilish
about details. From menu design, decorations, and entertainment
to strict budgetary constraints, our San Francisco banquet
hall team works hard so you never have to.
MENUS
These printed menus are guidelines designed to assist you in selecting a
menu for your event. Hilton San Francisco Union Square Catering staff will be happy to
prepare unique menus for each individual event. All prices are subject to
change and should be confirmed with your Catering manager. Download the Art

Guarantee
In arranging for private events, a guaranteed number of guests attending
is required for all catered meal functions. Final attendance must be
confirmed by 11am three (3) business days in advance or the expected
attendance will become the final guarantee, not subject to reduction. For
per person meals, the Hotel will set and prepare for three percent above
the guarantee.
Labor Charges
A $275 labor charge will be applied to breakfast, lunch and dinner
functions with fewer than 25 guests. A fee of $225 per bartender will
be applied to all bars for up to three hours of service. Additional
hours may be added at $50 per hour per bartender. Carvers, chefs and
additional wait staff are available at $275 per person for a three
hour period. Additional hours may be added at $50. Waiter service
hours including setup and tear-down are two hours for Breakfast, two
hours for Luncheon, three hours for Dinner and three hours for
Reception/Dinner. If the event extends beyond these times, additional
labor charges of $25 per waiter per hour/or portion of will apply.
Extra Items
No Food or Beverage of any kind may be brought in to the hotel by client or their attendees.
The Hotel assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to items left in a function room
prior to, during or after an event.
Service Charge and Sales Tax
Currently a 22% service charge and applicable state sales tax of 9.5% will
be added to all food and beverage charges. According to California Tax
Codes, service charges are subject to sales tax.
Off-Site Catering
Please let us know when your plans call for off-site catering. We are
fully licensed and prepared to plan your event. Contact your Catering
representative to discuss the many options that off-site catering has
to offer.

Beverage Selection
The Hilton San Francisco Union Square offers a choice of standard and premium beverages
on banquet bars. The following is a list of beverages currently offered by
our beverage department for banquets. As the availability of some of the
items vary, this list may or may not be complete and is subject to change. Specialty
items are available upon request.

Non-Alcoholic: Coca Cola Products, Sparkling Mineral Water, Assorted Juices & ODouls
All banquet bars serve wines by the glass, domestic and imported beers, soft drinks, juices, mineral water, and non-alcoholic beers and wines. Blended drinks and champagne by the glass are available upon request.
In accordance with California liquor laws, all alcoholic beverage sales will conclude at 1:45am.
Banquet Equipment
Items in our banquet inventory are for your use at no additional charge except for dance floors or set-ups requiring extensive labor. Associated costs for requested equipment not in inventory will be passed on to the group.
Please note the hotel does not carry 8 ft. tables; we only carry 6x30 or 6x18 tables

Banquet Menu Selection
We request that banquet menus, room arrangements, and other details pertinent to your event be submitted to your Catering/Event Manager 60 days prior to your conference date. We are happy to custom design menu proposals for your group and assist in selecting the proper menu items and program arrangements to ensure a successful event.
Specialty and theme parties may be designed to meet your particular needs. Special meal requests are easily accommodated. Please advise your Catering/Event Manager in advance of any special dietary requirements.

EXECUTIVE MEETING CATERING PACKAGES
Also referred to as a Complete Meeting Package, the hotel offers packages for smaller groups that are charged on a per person basis and include various options.
Breakfast/AM& PM Breaks priced from $24-$50 per person ++
Breakfast/AM&PM Breaks/Lunch priced from $59-$85 per person++
++: plus tax and gratuity

EXHIBITS
Stand out above the rest by attracting visitors to your booth through hospitality they can taste, feel and enjoy. Choose something simple such as a popcorn machine or as elaborate as a premium coffee bar or order off any of our catering menus to deliver foot traffic. For your convenience complete the Space Set-up form to ensure all your needs are met. We accept all major credit cards. If spending in excess of $5,000, you can be billed directly if we are notified 4-6 weeks in advance.
EXHIBIT HALL FOOD AND BEVERAGE
The Hilton San Francisco Union Square offers many food and beverage items that can add to the exhibit hall experience including popcorn and espresso machines. No sample foods or beverage products may be distributed by exhibitors (including bottled water)without written authorization in advance from hotel. Appropriate handling/corkage charges will apply for any outside food and beverage products.
THEMED EVENTS
What you want your event to be is your choice. Making it happen is ours. Have any idea what great fun it is to see hundreds of your attendees in prison garb clanking metal plates in a scene right out of Alcatraz? Or how about eating your way through the multicultural streets of San Francisco's neighborhoods such as Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach and the Mission? If you can imagine it, we can realize it for you. From props to palm trees to pop entertainment, we're like magicians when it comes to theme events.
HOTEL DINING OUTLET RENTAL
Urban Tavern is available for private rental for events. Please contact the Catering manager to discuss rental amounts and minimum food and beverage.
OFF-SITE CATERING
The Hilton San Francisco Union Square Catering team can handle your off-site catering needs to make it a one stop Catering experience for your event. Please contact your Catering manager to review possible off-site locations.
BOX LUNCHES
Box lunches are available through our Catering department. We can help you create your own customized lunch. If you wish to order box lunches for your group, your Catering/Event Manager will arrange the order for you and provide delivery to your specified location.
KOSHER
We offer a variety of Kosher Meals to our guests. These meals are prepared for us by Chef Tal Franbuch, Executive Chef of the Hilton San Francisco Union Square and are Glatt Kosher. Please ask your Catering/Event Manager for kosher suggestions.
LINEN SELECTION
A variety of table linens are available for your various functions. If you desire specialty linen, or would like quotes on theme-coordinated linens and chair covers, please consult your Catering/Event Manager.

LIQUOR LAWS
The State of California has strict liquor laws that must be followed by the Hilton San Francisco Union Square.
The hotel is the only licensed-authority to sell and serve alcoholic beverages. No group may bring in its own alcohol for service to its attendees.
In accordance with California liquor laws, all alcoholic beverage sales will conclude at 1:45am.
Your Catering/Event Manager may provide a full description of the State of California liquor laws upon request.
FOOD DONATIONS
Hilton is committed to assist our communities in the effort to alleviate hunger in this country. Hilton Hotels often have prepared food available from over-production that can be donated to charitable organizations for service to their constituencies based on local health code ordinances
